Been having some troubles getting my multiboot cd to work. I've read the N-in-1 tutorial a bunch of times now, hex-edited the files, made different directories, etc. etc., to no avail.
I'm trying to put Windows XP and Windows 2000 on the same cd. I put an i386 folder in the root directory (XP's), and I put the boot information for 2000 in the 2SRV directory, with the graphical setup files for 2000 in the 2KSERV folder. The Multiboot menu comes up fine, XP boots up fine, because the files all point to the default folders, but when I hit the option for 2000, it says: Running 2KSERV.BIN No-Emulation type image (raw) 0000080000000001 And then just hangs there. Please, does anyone have any suggestions whatsoever, this is driving me absolutely insane, and I am completely and totally out of ideas. Something else I noticed was that in the setupldr.bin for Windows 2000, there were only *3* instances of I386, versus Windows XP where there are 4... no ending reference to setupldr.pdb for Win2k setupldr.bin, could this be a clue?? Thank you!! /Edit Also, I put the WIN51 and WIN51P files into the root directories, along with the CDROM_NT.5 and CDROM_IS.5, also to no avail on both.... /Edit2 Another thing, with the Windows 2000 files, I used the X:\i386\winnt32.exe /noreboot method to extract both the bootable files, along with the graphical setup files... I got bootsector using the bbie on the cd itself, and then modifying it and setupldr.bin to point to the 2SRV dir, with txtsetup.sif pointing to SetupSourcePath \2KSERV\ ...... still no luck :( Last edited by thelung187 at Oct 1 2002, 12:55 AM |
