i formatted and installed SP1 now i am allways getting random reboots>Is there a log that XP keeps that i will be able to read to see what program etc is making it rebbot I have installed systom works 2003 i now that used to be a pain in the arse program could this be the culprit again?

right click "my computer" ---> properties ---> advanced tab

start up/recovery settings ---> set up

under "system failure", UNcheck "autorestart"

now when your xp encounters a fatal error, it'll display the blue screen so you can see what the error is and debug/fix it.

ok done that now if it crashes and i get the bsod do i just reboot and if so how does this debugging thing work?

go to your control panel and under administrative tools you will find the event viewer look in the logs you may find a clue to reboots there

ok just found that all the errors are in the system concerning "acpi Bios" trouble

first i would go 4 a BIOS update ;) u can try at yr Mobo manufacter website 4 updated files 4 yr mobo model ;9

if it doesnt work, then try this link:

u will have to search 4 d 1 that best suites u ;)
