EarthLink drops out of San Francisco Wi-Fi Plan

This actually comes as no surprise, based on EarthLink's announcement (http://news.com.com/8301-10784_3-9767410-7.html) of a 50% reduction in force two days ago. At the same time as the RIF, EarthLink said that it needed to re-evaluate its municipal wi-fi plans, as CEO Rolla Huff indicated in a statement.
