Dell to restate earnings; Executives skewed numbers

Dell today announced it had completed an internal investigation into its accounting procedures and the results were not good. Because of the investigation Dell will be restating earings for the years 2003 - 2006, and the first quarter of 2007.

Dell said its net income for the restatement period will be reduced by between $50 million and $150 million, or 2 cents to 7 cents per share.
