Has any one experienced the same problems with Zonealarm and kazaa lite as me.
While they will both run fine together for a while, the system caused a GPF (Blue screen of death) and resets intermittently. I switched to Norton IS and have had no problems since, but liked ZA's popup stopper feature. If someone can explain a fix for this problem or recommend a descent popup stopper i would be greatful. cheers |

no :o
try updating kazaalite to v2 and givit a go ;) |
I did have a problem with ZA & Kazzalite2, with ZA never resolving permission for Kazzalite to access the net, so i left Kazzalite2 installed, uninstalled ZA & re-installed ZA. All is ok after that.

Think i'll just stick with NIS 2003. The update is kinda cool, even got it working with my home network. Woohoo. (That took some doing)
NIS 2003 Rocks. The only thing that Zonealarm has that nis doesn't is a popup stopper. but i've started using popup-stopper and it works great. |
Here are 2 people's responses to this problem that I found on the web--not from experience:
1. There is a bug in version 3 of ZoneAlarm Pro that is causing this. A new version of ZoneAlarm Pro has been released recently that fixes these problems. Also check out the Firewall section in FAQ to learn more about how to set up ZoneAlarm Pro. 2 I disable my firewall when running file sharing apps like Kazaa. You'll have so many connections coming in and out at once that you'll constantly get alerts. You could possibly configure a "rule" to allow Kazaa access all the time but I don't recomend that because of virus' and hackers that use those programs. The simple solution is to disable the firewall when using Kazaa and re-enable it when your done so that you know what is coming in and out of your computer. |
