Apple has filed a patent that could make stealing Macs and iPods a pointless affair.

The patent essentially described technology which would only allow an iPod or portable Mac to draw power from a nominated power adaptor or device, reports New Scientist (http://www.newscientist.com/blog/inv...disarmer.html).
