Samsung Hybrid Hard Drives to Ship to Users Next Week

Samsung's first hybrid hard drives will be available for end-user purchase in a week's time, although only a limited subset of customers with the latest hardware may be able to take advantage of them.

CMS Products has begun taking preorders (http://www.cmsproducts.com/detail.aspx?ID=1012) of the new 160-Gbyte SATA 2.5-inch MH80 notebook drive on its Web site, for $299. A company sales associate said the drives should begin shipping at the end of next week, or by July 2 at the latest.
