Before installing SP1 for Windows XP I forgot to uninstall IE 6 Beta 2318. The problem now is that the final IE6 SP1 has a lower build number and I cannot update IE6 neither can I uninstall it. There is just the repair option. Is there a way to delete IE6 without reformating the entire harddrive? System restore didn't solve the problem.

Thanks,
axelhi

IE6 SP1 is under remove programs but if I click on it there is just the repair option. When I try to start the installer of the final IE6 SP1 it stops saying that there is already a newer version installed due to the higher build number of the old SP1 beta.
