Foxconn motherboard shipments more than double on year

Accumulated own-brand motherboard shipments from Foxconn (Hon Hai Precision Industry) for the first four months in 2007 grew 110% compare to the same period last year, reports the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN), citing sources at the company.

Shipments in the US grew over 400% while shipments in the Mid- and Southern-America regions grew 800%, Asia-Pacific 132%, India and Vietnam 500%, and Northern Africa 1450%, the paper said, adding that the company also took the lead in the motherboard market in Egypt.
