Do you opt for a gaming keyboard or a gaming keypad? We like both of those gaming peripherals and have seen our fair share of them, but we tend to have better luck with gaming keypads. Why? For starters, they're small, they complement your existing keyboard rather than replace it, and they're inexpensive. Plus, some gaming keyboards are clunky, cheaply made, and not too fun to use when you're not gaming.
