I'm pretty sure that apple is working on makeing an x86 mac and that the OS wouldn't actaully work on your normal pc. I'm not completly sure on that, but thats what I'm hearing from mac users.

although if they do make an x86 mac it seems like it would be much easyer for someone to hack it so that it does run on a pc.

i think they have been creating a x86 version all along. It just wasn't up to snuff so they haven't announced it.

Yeah, it says they have been making x86 ports of OSx ever since they started coding the OS. Seems to be a failsafe. You can damn well bet though that if it leaks, somebody will get it running on a standard PC.

Also, just think...This could be an ace in the hole for Apple. Microsoft is losing customer respect more than ever. People are looking for alternatives to Windows. If that relationship with the public busts completely, Apple could run away with a huge market share with an OS based on the X86 architecture.
