I need help setting up NAT internet connection sharing in my Linux Red Hat 7.2. I know how to do it in Windows, but not in Linux. :o
I guess I should use ipchains/iptables, right ? But I have no idea how to setup these... most info I found in the net is too incomplete or outdated. :( My two network cards are already configured and working fine, one of them connected to cable DHCP, the other with a static IP, just waiting for the clients to connect. Thanks in advance HamsterX |
Perhaps this may help you. /http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/HOWTO-INDEX/networking.html#NETROUTING

Thanks but...
My idea was exactly to avoid the HOWTOs... they have by far too much information to be useful for newbies like me. I get lost and always leave the HOWTOs for last resource. This one is no way different. :( If anyone knows about any source that deals with NAT/ICS in Linux is a direct and concise way, I'd appreciate it very much. :) Or else here we have one more unhappy Linux user... |
