New York (NY) - Avis has begun offering wireless Internet to rental car customers, via a portable device that acts as a mobile hot spot.

The Avis Connect service, which is coming to three US cities in the next month, will cost customers around $11 per day. The device beams a wireless signal that can be used in the car, hotel, or anywhere else.
