I,ve got a friend who works in a college.

He loaded an XP image over the summer on 450 pc's, but forgot to change the language to UK settings.

Anyway the students start back next week and he was wondering if you can tweak the registry to change the language settings to UK settings, as when you change them as local admin it does not affect other users profiles who will be using these computers.

He has'nt the time to amend the original image and load it again on 450 computers.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have worked it out in the registry, just search for locale, and have told my friend to write a script, which will take affect when the pc's are re-booted, hopefully :) :)

you could od that from control panel and there is an option to apply setting for all users, check that and i think it is ganna work with no need for script.

Tried that fares,
problem was it only applies from the moment you check that box. Some students had logged on already using the temporary student profile previously set up unfortunately it was set to US settings.

Thanks Sephiroth for the offer, but my friend has sorted everything out now
:) :) :)
