With ever increasing concerns about mob interest (http://blog.digg.com/?p=74) in cracking DRM, TiVo has added its own layer of protection to defend hacks into content. In a recently issued patent (http://www.patentmonkey.com/PM/patentid/7216235.aspx), TiVo describes use of an encryption key technique that has so many possible combinations that the ability to crack it could take billions of years of number crunching.
