I have an audigy 5.1 X-Gamer sound card and 5.1 Creative Inspire 5300 Speakers. Now with the CORRECT cable hook up, there is no sound coming out of the center speaker. can someone help me out, i've tried the Audio HQ panel, and i cant figure this problem out, when i hit the test button in the Audio HQ sound DOES come out of my center speaker, but if i play movies, games music nothing comes out.....can someone help me out thanks.

I think, and I'm not positive, but some things like games have to support the 5.1 audio in order to take advantage of the center speaker. Now it's weird that nothing will come out of the center speaker when you're watching a DVD, because that should work fine. Here are some things to try-

1) Make sure you have 5.1 speakers selected in Control Panel - open up Sound and Audio Devices Properties and hit the advanced button and select 5.1.

2) When watching DVDs, make sure you select the correct surround sound option (5.1).

3) Make sure all the speakers are configured to play in Audigy properties. Just because they test properly doesn't mean they'll automatically play sound.

Now, all of these suggestions are pretty basic and stuff you've probably already tried, but just give them a shot. Good luck.
