Is this what you were looking for Rickkens:
Maximum of 4 download threads with IE 1: go to start, run and type regedit 2: go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\InternetSettings 3: right click anywhere on the right side and select DWORD from the dropdown list. 4: a new entry appears called New Value #1 at the bottom of the right side of the screen 5: rename this to MaxConnectionsPerServer 6: once renamed, right click and select MODIFY from the dropdown menu 7: in the VALUE DATA box type 80 8: repeat seps 3 thru 7 but this time rename the entry MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server 9: happy downloading For further info on this tweak: @@@@://support.micro$$$$.com/support/kb/articles/Q183/1/10.ASP I did and with ie I have been pulling down 7-9 downloads from FAW at 60-90KB each I was never able to do that before. I always had to wait for the current D/Ls to finish. Anyway I thought some of you would find this interesting. |
