New computer - P4, 2.2 GHZ, GeForce 3, 2 HD, Zip drive, DVD-R, CR-RW, WinXP Professional. Worked fine for 2 weeks. Son took to college dorm- Now, gets first error message about NTSAPI.DLL and then ISASS.EXE. Black screen and only mouse. Will not boot into XP, either regular or safe mode. Is this repairable or do I have to reinstall? Please help!

Why not try to repair it with your XP CD? boot from the cd and when prompted select the repair option.

Only heaven knows what those frat boys were doing with it at college

I will try that. Do you have any idea what those two messages mean?
