we have an auction on tv here that comes on just about every night and they have quite a few dvd players that hook up to your tv that won't read the disc.
now, can anyone tell me what would cause this and how easy it would be to fix? They usually go for less than $20 so if it would be something easy or not expensive to fix i would get one. i put it here so that it will get more views and it doesn't really have to do with computer hardware. thanks. |
....just get a new one.
Classic DVD102. Plays everything. Does everything. $80. |
well i've got one but it doesn't play everything, but i'm not complaining cause it was free. i just hated to see them go for that cheap if they are easy to fix.

From my experience working on DVD players, if they are broken to the point they don't see the disc at all your looking at a new pick-up assembly and re-alighnment at the least wich can run a little over $120 sometimes..... Depends on make, model, etc.... But, point being as far as concumer models go it's really cheaper to just buy a new one.... :(
