A SURVEY CLAIMED that the least popular chatup line men trying to date women can proffer is saying they have a PhD in computing science.

According to John von Radowitz, writing in the Independent, the best male line was to ask a woman that if she was on the naff TV programme Stars in Their Eyes, who she'd like to impersonate.

The best female chatup line was the equally feeble "What's your favourite pizza topping?" That's according to boffin Richard Wiseman, who surveyed 500 speed dating sessions. The boffin didn't say which chatup line he uses, or has used. If he does.
