Heeeeeeeelp me! NTSC or PAL?
My XBox is American/NTSC.
- When I download a game, which I would prefer? NTSC? - To play online, do I need to have a NTSC game? - A NTSC player can play with a PAL player? I need an explanation about it please!!! (Sorry for poor english) |
I.m not sure if this is correct but I would suggest that if your machine is NTSC you would need an NTSC game, I would also predict that playing someone online in another region eg. Australia(PAL) the gameplay would be compatible.
PAL and NTSC are just the default video output modes for those regions. |
In Playstation 2, you cannot play with a NTSC game against a PAL player. Example: SOCOM, Burnout 3.
I bought my Xbox a week and I'm still downloading my games, but there is a lot PAL and I don't know it works. |
yes, NTSC only refers to how you view the video signal locally; it shoudlnt matter when you are playing online against someone
|
If you have a mod chip it wont matter. ;)
Sorry, have no idea where i got you mentioned xbox from. lol was tired i guess  |
you saying on a PC it don't matter?
I know that NTSC video stuff plays on PAL equipment in Europe, but PAL won't play on NTSC equipment. |
Hey,
No I meant for the xbox. Dont know why I thought you said xbox. lol Sorry.... But yeah you can easly "fix" for PC as well. ;) It basicly removes the region settings from the drive itself. Then in order to play the game (or dvd) then you simply change the region using IfoEdit and VobBlanker. Google it! :p But for xbox you still need a mod chip. Not because of region settings any more but because all xbox and xbox 360 games are signed by mircosoft. A mod chip gets around that. Its a hardware fix rather than a software workaround. But you have to be careful, in some regions of the world the tools mentioned above are illegal and so are mod chips. Take Care, Will |
