Billionth iTunes song downloaded
A teenager from Michigan, US, has made the one billionth iTunes download Coldplay's Speed of Sound and earned himself some fantastic prizes.
Alex Ostrovsky was downloading a selection of songs from the band's X&Y album has when he won a 20-inch iMac, 10 fifth-generation iPods and a $10,000 iTunes gift card. The lucky teen has also won a scholarship at the Juilliard School of Music, courtesy of Apple. In a statement Apple CEO Steve Jobs said: "Over one billion songs have now been legally purchased and downloaded around the globe, representing a major force against music piracy and the future of music distribution as we move from CDs to the Internet."
