I seem to have turned off part of my task manager. I have no idea what I did. When I hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete the only part of taks manager the shows up on my screen is the users window. I have tried many differn't ways to fix it but have found none. I made a new user name and that worked, but I don't want to transfer all of my files and programs. I have other programs that about the same thing task manager but I just can't figure out what I changed to stop task manager from loading. If you know how to fix this problem please tell me.

Maybe you have to try this :

CMD scannow /sfc

Moto 25th Aug 02 04:39 AM

"scannow is not recognized as an internal or external cammand, operable program or batch file." ;) hmmmm I think I will try a simple sys restore. I know it must be a setting so windows might change it back for me if i am lucky. I don't think it will work but it is worth a try.

Hum...................

Did you try start-run-CMD and after scannow /sfc ?

Moto 25th Aug 02 05:34 AM

Yes i tried it and it didn't work. My compuer couldn't even find scannow /sfc or scannow/sfc. It doesn't matter I have found a way to move window to window but it still isn't right. I should have tried key commands first. All I need to do is use Ctrl+tab there are some options I can't get to but at lest I can get out of the stupis users window.
I can't quite figure it out anyother user on this computer gets the right set of options i don't know how or why it changed mine. I will find a way to fix it some day. when Im not trying:D. You know how thinks like that go. Untill I figure it out I am happy with Ctrl+tab.

Now the question is why can my computer find scannow?<_<
I will look some other day

Thanks for the help.

Moto,
If I understand you correctly, you lost the tabs in the Windows Task Manager window. Try double clicking on the outer perimeter of the window

Shocker
