Can anybody tell me how to create a signature other then text....like put a picture on here like all the big wigs have.....I keep getting a dynamics thing can't work for signature....HELP

I'm not the best at this but basicaly you have to 'host' your sig on a web site. I was using a free service called 'hostyoursig' but they closed about 5 weeks ago.

A kind hearted friend offered to host my sig for me so I'm ok.

Try www.netfirms.com. It is one of the few FREE web hosts left that still allow remote image loading, which is what you will be doing. Once you have it uploaded to your account, you just go to your "control panel" here at Beta1 and set the URL to _http://<youraccount>.netfirms.com/<yourfile>, where <> is what ever your account and file is called.

I don't know of any others, but maybe we could start a list of any other free servers left that allow remote image loading?? People?

Hmm...Maybe you were asking how to *make* a 'sig', not host it? Well, I made mine buy dowlaoding a jpeg of a Captain Beefheart album cover. Then I used Irfanview (freeware) to crop it and convert to a bitmap.

Next I druged my bitmap into MSpaint and used the 'spary can' option. I used my mouse to 'spray' my name all over the place. I must admit, my sig is not one of the best you'll ever see but, I think it says a lot about who I am.

And as it says, OUT!

I use photoshop and paintshop pro to make my sigs - I am in the process of trying to make using flash.

But what you can also do is look for one that you like and copy the url to your sig on here. some people do it that way also.

Yes, I think it is important to clarify. Do you need to know how to make a sig or where to host it. I host mine at /http://207.164.141.121:82

Read their rules and you will see that sig hosting is free.

If you want to know more, just post again.

Did you firstly read the rules, and secondly, did you try and rename your files.

yea i read the rule ;)

You will NOT upload warez, or other non-relevant file(s) to the server.
This will not only get the server shut down, it will use up bandwidth, and drive space.
That's it. Only one rule. Simple eh? :)

damn it wont work

tried .jpg, .gif, .png, and .tif

nothing works

tried 8 differnet pics to test it out

two are 10k and the others are mixed up to 1mb

and yea i renamed them crazy things

:) like alphabeta9ner :( still dont work

oh and i tired the SIG_blablabla thing too no go :(
