Microsoft Renames "Longhorn" to Windows Vista
 

Today Microsoft publically announced that the official name of its next-generation OS, formerly codename "Longhorn", would be Windows Vista.

They also stated that Beta 1, which is targeted at developers and IT professionals, will now be available by August 3rd as opposed to their previous date of July 31st.
