Best dual layer burner

Is Plextor still rated one of the best?
What burners are good both for single and DUAL layer?

Thanks

The Plextor PX-716 is overpriced for an average quality burner....go for the NEC 35XX series or the Benq DW16XX series
In fact,Benq(Philips) makes such fine drives that 1 of them is rebadged as a Plextor!!!!!

that Plextor PX-740A is nothing more than a Benq DW1640 at twice the price of the Benq oem....

me personally I went with a liteon, its external but hey @ 16x and supports dual layer, for only 89.99 after rebates, i'm a happy guy! :)

but I have to agree, NEC, or BenQ, but I own an internal LG older model (single layer 4x i think) its good as well! :)

@ Roadworker...
Yes I know the Plextor PX-740A being a Benq, But it mainly aimed at the data-backup market, and does not have all the software the PX-716SA has.
I have been looking at the 35XX series and it is very popular.

I think media - compatibility is one of the most important aspects to worry about.

THanks
