As with most things in life, you get what you pay for when you sign up with a usenet service provider.

I have tried others but I'm prepared to stand behind giganews:

comcast uses giganews and i know that with the home/personal accounts you get the 2gig/month deal. anyone know if its the same with a business account or if you get more (me hopes)?

I'm using NewsDemonat the moment. The servers have around a 30 day retention with a 99% completion rate. 8 concurrent connections with a 30Gb per month cap for only US $ 11.49 a month, their 150GB a month account costs only US $ 17.99 and their unlimited account costs just US $ 24.99 a month. The 2 main reasons i chose them were A: Their retention and completion stats
B: they take PayPal, as i don't have credit cards this was a must.

I recently tried CoreNews but the completion rate was poor and the retention was only 4 days.

Right now I use NewsHosting http://www.newshosting.com/ mainly because alternate ports.

Both unlimited downloads for $14.95/mo and I pull my max speed of 525KB
