BetaONE will rise again! - Might Be Switching From Vonage to Sunrocket!

Well after a year with Vonage. Pretty stable and good uptime, I got a mailer from Sunrocket www.sunrocket.com. I did some research on them and some reviews. I signed up for there 31 dayTrial. They sent it UPS (Brown Ground) it took a week to get from the east coast. I used this Code (preprinted) 1DMN8NY and they sent me 2 Uniden Handsets DCT646-2 (about $50 to buy through amazon, more at staples & Office depot )

I signed up for the $199 for a Year which includes unlimited free Long distance (US & Canda) & $3.00 of International calling credit ( which we use, the rates for the countries we call are the same or cheaper than Vonage and we don't get dinged with the 3% FET tax on Long distance so we are Basically Paying $13.58 a month for Unlimted US Calling, and no Vonage Junk fees for FET or etc.

Another plus is I get a second signature Number which I can set to distinctive ring, and I get to Put a name on my caller ID which goes out, plus I can block Annonmus calls (can't do that with Vonage, plus I can block indvidual's by phone number, I got it last friday, they bill you after it arrives, so far the call quality is equal to Vonage, I can't tell a difference.

The cordless Unidens although they are just 2.4 Ghz they are clear and have speakerphone on the handsets, so it never hurts to have an extra handsets around the house.

It set up real easy. So I will do a review after 30 days, I will forwad my vonage calls to Sunrocket. If all goes well I will port my Vonage number to Sunrocket. One downside is no referal credits.

Limit unwanted interruptions by enabling Do Not Disturb. This feature will prevent incoming calls from ringing through. Instead, calls will be directed straight to Voicemail. If Voicemail is not active, callers will hear an announcement stating that you are currently not accepting calls.
Find Me
Allows incoming calls to "find you" at multiple phone numbers, one after another. If you don't pick up at one number, the call will move on to the next, until either you pick up or the call terminates at Voicemail.
