Is it possible to install Word/Excel 2003 on a usb drive?

I've searched several sources and have not been able to find the answer to this question.

I'm aware they add a ton of info to the registry during the initial install, but is there a way to make them work anyway? I need to be able to use Word on computers that don't have it installed already. Third party office suites are not an option.

Thanks for any help,
Jedis

Doubt Microsoft supports that. Not positive, but I bet it's not possible.

It's possible to install. :)

However you will not be able to run it without the Windows System you had your USB Drive plugged into. Office copies DLL files that are linked to the System so it is not possible.

Not all the applications act this way. For example: much lighter applications such as ServU, BitComet, Notepad2, 1000s of applications like these run standalone. Microsoft Office is not one of these.
