Playing with Gordian Knot
I've been using GK for some video encoding..
I'm amazed at how easy it is with the GK suite, though I fear that some of the video file sizes tend to be a tad on the small size, or so I think.. So far I've encoded a couple of dvd's and left with .avi files that max out at 559MB in size. Anyone else have experience with this or any other encoding gizmo? :) |
I hope that only happens to rarely. If you are ending up very much below-target file sizes then I am afraid there some problem. When you do 2-pass VBR encoding, for some DVD Video this can happen. The encoder is happy with a low bitrate to compress the video so that's the filesize you are ending up with. This has happened to me in WMV encoding. I expect the same with *ivX.
