Support Request:MySQL cannot connect to localhost Error 2002 missing mysql.sock
 

Anyone think that they can help me out with this one?
BTW Currently running on Fedora Core 3 Kernel 2.6.9-1.667
This is the error I get:
[root@localhost newsan-0.85]# make install
mysql<installfiles/mc.sql
ERROR 2002: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)
make: *** [setupmysql] Error 1

Issue /etc/init.d/mysql start command before make install
