Firefox copy and paste

Firefox will not allow me to paste anything into any message box on this board - the right-click menu does not even include a paste option. If I want to insert a quote or text or a URL I have to use IE to do so.

It works properly in other areas and the copy half of the process works here as well - I can get stuff to the clipboard; I just can't get it back again. :(

I guess one of my settings is to blame. Can anyone please tell me what I have messed up?

Oops. I've just noticed (a bit slow I fear) that Ctrl-V works as normal. So, it's more like a GUI idiosyncracy than a proper problem. Sorry to waste your time.

But you can use Ctrl+C as always. Seems easier than switching to IE.
For your settings, I don't know... My Firefox is the same and I guess this is the v1.0.

Had this problem with Firefox. It happens at random times. Alll of a sudden Paste doesn't work. Actually what happens is nothing is being copied so the Paste is inactive. Wonder if it is an accidental key combination we are doing.

Thank Heaven I'm not alone. I was ready to put it down to old age and delirium tremens.:p

You can download the "Auto Copy" extension. It works great. You can get it here:
Code:

F.Y.I.

Side note, I seen an article in a tabloid while in line at the supermarket that interviewed the author of FireFox and talked about how it was better than IE. I didn't finish the article, because I didn't buy the tabloid, just wasting time while in line. :p
