Today .. i was on my puter, then .. no more electricity ( back after 5 sec ).
After my pc was rebooting .. i have lost my DVD !!

I have reboot.. change place on IDE, Doing update ( M$ ) niet!!
When i try to update from Liteon : I always have msg that i don't have a DVD.

Oh, Oh, power problems can raise h*ll with hardware...I once had the power in my house flick off for approx 1 sec, then back on. Took out my PS, MB, processor, and TV Tuner card. Luckily, my drives were allright...Try booting with a Win98 floppy choosing CD-ROM support and see if it's picked up in DOS...If not, it don't look good, If it does, boot in safe mode, and uninstall the IDE Controller in Windoze, reboot, and let it redetect it...Hopefully, it'll find everything...;)

I have used a bootable win 98 cdrom.... and it worked in dos!
But not in W|nd0wZ Xp.

iam figured out that the W|nd0wZ drivers is f* up !!!

PcDad 31st Jan 05 01:03 AM

At least the drive is good, now just gotta find out what's f*cked up in WinXp...I still say boot in safe mode and remove the IDE controller from Device Manager...reboot and let WinXP find it and reinstall it...I know this board runs the nForce chipset so if your running the nForce drivers, you'll have to uninstall the drive itself from Device manager, not the ATA Controller...
