Problem with a HD
 

Hello,

I have diskeeper who can't defrag one of my HD. :o

I boot to the recovery console and try to run chkdsk /p on this drive. But I got this error message : "The volume appears to contain one or more unrecoverable problems"

What can I do please ?

Ok,

The problem came from a controller card :o I just plug the HD directly to the motherboard and my problems are gone :)

What does the built in defrager say?

Have you tried chkdsk /F or chkdsk /R ?

Um according to cmd there is no /P ???

The defrag says that this drive is marked for a scan.

In the recovery console, there is an option for the switch P or R.

Does a software like Spinrite can repair these problems ?

Yeah Probally.

Is there any good tools for that ?

Try HDD Regenerator to find out if you have bad sectors on that hd....

HDD Regenerator will not erease ma programs ?

So know it wont erase any thing. It will simply create a report! Thats all.

I have a purchased version ;)

The problem is that I have 3 120 gigs drives and 1 60 gigs.

When I start the HDD Regeneratior program, I see my 3 120 gigs drives but there are no other informations :o So I don't know wich drive is the good one :eek:

I will have to check them one by one. This will take 3 days :o
