error guard

Ive got a small irritating adware problem. I have this thing about "error guard" that pops up while Im on the net. It prompts me to install it and it really looks like a M$ app but its not. According to some articles Ive read its bogus adware. Ive tried all the suggestions to remove it to no avail. It just keeps coming back. I also get some other popups too. Anyone who has this problem and have successfully removed it please contact me and let me know how you did it. Its a file called SAHBUNDLE.EXE that is re-apprearing inspite of all my efforts with adaware,Spybot, and spy sweeper. Also tried to remove it with norton and tried all of them in safe mode also.

Make sure that you have your system restore turned off, then clean your system. That should take care of your problem and keep it from re-appearing after you clean your system.

I agree with firefox - if you still have it popping up try Startuplist
from here _http://www.net-integration.net/tools/hijackthis.html

You can read about the SAHBUNDLE here _http://computercops.biz/startuplist-3184.html
they say it is ShopAtHomeSelectparasite related - the link gives removal instructions

I have tried EVERYTHING and nothing removes it. This file keeps coming up in system32 also "ygqczq.dll". Everytime I get rid of it it comes back as does the reg entries . Also doesnt matter how many times I disable it as a start up item as soon as I reboot its back. DAMN ADS!. This kind of crap needs to be illegal.

Looks like the only fix is to reformat to get rid of this garbage

Try this freeware.

GiPo@MoveOnBoot

Copies, moves or deletes files and folders on the next system boot. The utility is very useful when the user needs to replace or delete files which are locked by other applications, loaded into the memory or just cannot be changed until next system boot.

If it still comes back, you have a phantom file that keeps regenerating your problem file. "HiJackThis" may identify it for you. You can always try System Restore.

Good luck!

I wound up having to re-format as the thing would just not go away
