Connecting pc to tv?
My computer has a scart connection at the back.
When I connect the pc to the telly, and switch the pc on and change av on the telly I only get as far as the XP splash screen, then the tv goes blank. The pc also has s-video and a composite port as well, do I need to connect them to the tv as well to get a picture? |
noramlly if it goes blank that means that your computer is set to a resolution that your television canot support
I would suggest checking the drivers for your video card and aswell get a program called tv tuner. That way it is possible to access why it doesn't work... |
Also maybe the refresh rate. Connecting to the TV is like hooking up your comptuer to a 800x600 monitor. I believe thats the highest resolution most TVs support (i have no idea about the newest TV models, and their resolutions). So yea, hook up your system to a regular monitor, and make sure the screen resolution is 800x600 and check your refresh rate and choose something low (60 Hz or so). Then shut down, hook up to TV, and boot :) Good luck :)

Yeah many I have seen require 60hz/70/72/75hz.
