I often read about the "nvidia refresh rate" problem. But I have yet to understand what the problem is.
My monitor shows up with allowable modes and i'm able to select those modes. In 1024 x 768 I run at 75 hz for example. I don't seem to experience any problems with apps or games but the frame rates are a little low from what i read from others but the games are entirely playable so maybe its just the video card i'm using (GeForce 2 MX400 - can't complain as i got it for free). But i'm going to buy a new one soon. Anyway,,,I understand the reason for the refresh rate thing so there is no reason to rehash the reason for it. What I always find missing in every post I read about this problem is a way to tell if your affected or not. So iguess the question I really need explained is - am I affected or not by this with winXP pro? So if someone could please explain, it would be helpful.
