What antispam software do you use and why?

I personally have been using fo rthe last 2 months Giant Spam Inspector 4
Does the job well but i don't like how many services and process are running in the background even when i'm not checking my email.

Features:

  • Award winning spam blocking technology
  • Automatically removes close to 100% of unwanted and offensive email
  • Protects your privacy by removing tracking bugs from email
  • Hides and deletes offensive images from pornographic spam
  • Alerts you to hazardous virus containing emails
  • Protects you from illegal email scams and threats
  • Self learns based on your incoming email
  • Updates filters based on global reports automatically
  • Blocks foreign language spam
  • Filters email from multiple email programs, and email accounts
  • Unique filtering profiles per user or family member
  • Automatically approves senders from all Local Address Books, Contacts folders, and Sent Items folders
  • Powerful spam reporting to government agencies and ISPs
  • Bounces spam back to the sender
  • Alerts you when it is safe to unsubscribe from junk email lists
  • Integrates directly with Outlook, Outlook Express, IncrediMail, Eudora, and Hotmail in Internet Explorer

I think it's the biggest fault of most Giant Softwares, they are all very good but way to many services and process running.

I'm intresting in knowing what do you use and why do you like it ;)

I use Outlook Express combined with PopFile and Spamihilator.

I'm using Outlook and imported a spam list I downloaded from the net. Everytime I get a spam I add it to the list of domains to block.

Outlook has the best spanm filter I ever used. I was getting more than 100 a day, and Outlook could eliminate roughtly 95% without my needing to see them. Then my ISP combined with Yahoo and they have an excellent spam filter. I haven't gotten a spam since they started up that partnership.

I just use a Yahoo email account which sends 98% of SPAM to a BULK folder. I just click TRASH often without looking at any of it. Any SPAM that gets through, I tag as SPAM and I assume it's added to Yahoo's SPAM list. I'm very happy with what yahoo has done to fight SPAM. All this with their NAV scan of attachments. SWEET! :D

Well technically I have not recieved a spam e-mail in years. ;)

Since it is deleted stright from the server and or in other software before it even has a chance to hit my mail box. Seeing as only white list gets though. ;) Not just e-mail address either but by hidden sig image, ip address, etc.
