Hi,

need expert help with the Windows.NET Standard Server RC1.

After struggling 24 hours to get into the MS downloadpage
betatesting is fun, but it would look much nicer without
the notice on the desktop: Evaluation Copy etc.

Having deleted 2 well known registry settings did not help.

Any ideas?

For the early versions of XP, it was just a matter of clicking on "Lock Web Items on Desktop". But for this, you might have to be patient. Most people are just getting this puppy...

You have to replace the setupreg.hiv with a full version one prior to your installation in order to remove the 360 days timebomb and thus the "Evaluation" stuffs on the desktop!.
