I have Java 2 Rutime installed, primarily because Azureus is dependant on it. Once launched, my system slows down and uses way too much memory. Even after I shut javaw.exe down, the system is still slow. A reboot cures it.
Any ideas? |
How 'bout more memory??

You have to close it manually ?

Dump Azureus and use Torrent Storm :D

Be a man and Dump Azureus and Torrent Storm and use BitTornado:
hxxp://www.bittornado.com/download.html lol :P No anyways do you have 5.0 installed? Cause you should if you dont. Remove the old version or at least make 5.0 the defult version via Add or Remove Programs > Set Program Access and Defaults. |
I took your advice Will and installed 5.0. It still hog's memory, but isn't slowing me down. :)
Also @Will and Mike.....convince me why those other 2 clients are better. ;) |

Azureus with Java is the only BitTorrent client I've ever used, and from everything I've read seems to be recommended by most. I have 1012 MB of RAM, and right now running Azureus and eDonkey I have around 10% processing use, give or take, which is acceptable.
There's a new Java 1.5 runtime out, plus you may need to update your JAR which can be found at hxxp://azureus.sourceforge.net/index_CVS.php Hope this helps! torataka |
