This is driving me crazy
I installed the latest version of diskeeper pro v.9.0.504 and i keep getting this message: Quote:
I tried everything i could think of , from cleaning the registry to manually start and stop services and so on with no luck :( As anyone else encountered similar problem or know how to fix it ? I'm running XP SP2 installed on 2 SATA Raptor in raid 0 Attached screen of the pop up error Thank you Sony |
Same here, sony. Took it back out and the original native defragger works OK.
|
me too - went back to version 8 - and no connect problems now
|
I'm not the only one with this problem :D
Who knows how to fix this problem ? |
I use o&o defrag pro so doesn't bother meto much i just wanted to test this new version to see if they improved over version 8 and added some better option like in o&o.
maybe it's simply a buggy warez version, will do some search around to see if i can find a working version or a fix Sony |
Are you allowing the loop back to 0.0.0.0 and 127.XXX in the firewall? I have a version I just loaded, seems to be working once I allowed the loopback. Will up to yousendit if needed
|
Right guys... this is a very simple problem to solve, your XP firewall is blocking the service of Diskeeper. See their web site. It explains all and the resolution:

Not using xp firewall tested with and without any firewall no luck at all i tested all the tricks on the deskeepr site but nothing worked....... :( |
I tried to disable the windows firewall but the program still not working
|
well I have no problems with the pro version. Just it must be able to access the Internet on accasions. If you block teh service then it wont ever work!
