All,
I have numerous MP3 albums I've downloaded, which often have different file naming formats. The problem I most frequently encounter is when the MP3 name starts with the track number, which means that when I burn multiple albums to CD I'm left with out-of-order compilations (i.e., ArtistA-01, ArtistB-01, ArtistC-01, etc). My preference to keep everything neat and orderly, with one artist following another, would be to burn the CD as follows: Artist Name - Track Number - Song Name. I"ve tried 1-4A Rename, but if the solution is there I can't figure it out. I respectfully query B1 membership suggestions as to how to quickly and easily reorder MP3's in the above format. Thanks in advance! torataka |
I perfer TagScanner.

Thanks, war. That works somewhat better, but can't figure out how it renames files numbered sequentially so that the song order is kept. Otherwise, easily sorts by Artist - Song Name.
