I need help. I have:

Abit nf7-s
WD 250 SATA

I can not for the life of me figure out how to get XP installed. When I boot off the cd, it doesn't see the drive, but I have SATA/RAID enabled in bios.

I'm under the gun. Any help is appreciated. :)

Besides F6 at startup to add drivers, may want to look here.

Partition Magic the drive.. make sure its clean, I persoanlly don't trust Windows to format and NTFS the drive by its self.

After allocation and formatting.. for quicky.. you can dump a ghost image on the drive..

HotRod's solution should do it.......get the drivers for your sata controiller with another 'puter and put them on a floppy......

Get the XP boot FLOPPIES?

I had a prob once with an older AMD chipset and Partition Magic. Wouldn't boot fron CD but would with floppies.

Worth a try.
