With SP2 installed, will the 2 AVs and the 2 Internet securities interfere or conflict with each other?
Any experience with this? I have always had god luck with Nort AV. |
Norton Internet Security includes Norton AntiVirus and Norton Personal Firewall.
I have tested NIS 2004 and it did not have any conflicts with Windows XP SP2. :) |
thanks

say ~*McoreD*~ - have you ever tried looking for a clip art file
through MS Word with NIS 2004 running? Every time I try, it kills IE but not my internet connection. Every time I have to turn on the XP firewall and stop the NIS one to import clip art from MS. @moen - when you install NIS 2004, it suggests you not use XP's firewall - with NIS 2005, there might be a pop up telling you when both are running - can't remember what happens with 2004 - but both firewalls can both run together |
@richardc2000, Before I installed NIS2004, I completely disabled Windows Firewall.
I remember having some issues with NIS2004 and they weren't major. For example, although I had Windows Firewall disabled, Security Center reported that I have two filewalls installed. But Windows Firewall is actually disabled. Apart from those minor issues I never had problems with MS Office 2003. :) |
I did more or less the same thing with the same results except when I was Word to look for a piece of clip art on line then insert it.
but I can live with it |
