I just upgraded to WXP SP2 off Microsoft update site.
Most programs seem to work well, but when I started Nero (6.3.0.0) a message came up saying that this Nero version has problems with SP2, and that I should go to Ahead to upgrade it.

WHAT version works best with SP2 upgrade??
thanks

Is there a list of that lists versions of CD/DVD/Burn/ripping etc...that work well with SP2, and list of those that do not work well ????

Signing up at cdfreaks might prove fruitful for a question like that moen. I haven't seen any info on this yet.

I've had the same problem with Nero for weeks since the upgrade to sp2..thanks for the info!

Still NFG..Nero just spins and spins and spins..anyone have an idea on how to make this work right?

Roxio and Alchohol are on this machine, and both work fine...

I wouldn't be suprised if Roxio and Nero don't want to play nice together Mike. I've dealt with that before.

Maybe you ought to wipe Nero clean including reg info and reinstall the latest version? If that don't work, guessing it could be a software conflict.

It seems to me that if you have an early install and then update many times during a year there is never a problem. The problem occurs if you do a clean install with the latest version. It is automatically a demo version and carries certain constraints.

Which translates to the value of a basic clean install with all your favorite/necessary programs and then save that to a drive image for later use if you have to begin again.
