I'm considering these 2:
Gigabyte GIGABYTE GA-7N400PRO2 and ABIT NF7-S REV 2.0 Looking for opinions on which one is better, and even looking to hear if I can do better at the $100 price range. Thanks :) |
Went with the Abit.

Good board......only prob I have,is with the nforce ide drivers.
Even the last bios update nor the last nforce driver pack fix it........I have to use windows native ide drivers to get all my readers/burners visible in explorer and in some burning programs. No harddrives attached to the ide controller, they are connected to a pci ide card... |
I'll be using sata. Hope that works ok. :)

It's a bit of a stretch to call it a dream system, but along with the Abit, I'll be putting all this together over the course of a week :
NEC LCD 1760v Ati 9600 pro Logitech MX Cordless duo Those 3 I'm using presently. I have coming: Antec Plusview 100amg server tower Antec 430 Truepower WD 250 GB sata Plextor PX-712SASW 1 gig Crucial DDR 400 xp 3200 with a Thermaltake Silent tower A Sony Floppy That should keep me happy for a few months. :) |
Great choice on the Abit Mobo, I used it when i built my kids and casue it's awesome for OC'ing. I recently built a PC for someone and used it and i am getting ready to build another and i will use it again ;)
I have no problems with the nforce drivers, everything went smooth both time and also for a friend who uses it :) |

I'll be able to run my 3200 barton @ 3400 no problem from what I understand, especially with the added "cushion" of the Thermaltake tower. :) |
