anyway i did this without a reboot and start the overnet it couldnot make connection because my edonkey is running :-) afcourse .......but it start up faster and look better and i will use it after mu download is finished .


because ir is an beta there will be some problems probaly , but the designer of this program is believing it is already better then edonkey it self .

the filetransfer should be superior to any other p2p program the problem of servers should be not excist with this program


it will do the same as any other p2p program or as kazaa it made a server of users same as kazaa so there is no need for looking at or finding a server to connect.


anyway this is what i read and gonna find out in the next days the more users the better will be the finding results so get the files and install .

oke there seems to be problems and bugs on it mine start up but for other people not so read the forum from/about overnet to get a solution if needed because it is still BETA

as a last update from me iam running it and it is going well i found

249 divx movies and 376 dvd movies and that for 8000 thousand people online not too bad , iam downing with a speed of 27 kb/s better as edonkey it self and conect in 2 seconds with the program anyway iam gonna use it , it works for me

8000 thousand people online not too bad wel now around 26000 and and still growing i change completly to the overnet yesterday verry satisfied with it

I think I'll stick with eDonkey until overnet goes final. I get many more search hits with eDonkey. Also, Overnet never tells me how many people are online. Always stays at zero. Do I have to let down my firewall or something? I had the newest version.

dont know if you have to put your firewall down but i can see the users online and the files which are shared.............

As edonkey and overnet *.part files are compatible is possible to use the same folder for both programs (p. ex. C:\Program files\edonkey2000\temp ).
What is not possible, but I am not sure, is to run both programs at the same time.
One at a time is an interesting option in order to optimize files downloading. When downloading is poor with edonkey, overnet is an alternative and vice versa.
