Hello,

This happend to me two times since last week, I click on the propertie of a file and all my .exe icons are gone :( :angry:

I have no system restore point :(

How can I repair this really big mess ??

I just reinstall the SP2 and my icons are still missing :angry:

Nobody knows :(

If I check with Icon Packager, all my icons are there but I can't restore them :blink:

But on my system I cann't find the ShellIconCache

Maybe it has something to do with IconPackager

When I rightclick on an .exe file ,properties, I can Rebuild Icon Cache

Download tweak UI. Then repair and then repair icons.

Hi Bads has War said downlpoad tweak UI from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx
and use the repair icon cache

You might also have lost the .ico file Association wich is preventing to show the icon files

To fix that i attached a reg key to restore the .ico file Association to the original state in window xp

Let me know if the 2 above solution can fix your problem.

I was without my PC for 3 days :(

Tring to restore a backup etc........... :blink:

I have to disconnect 2 HD before restoring my image <_< A really bad weekend :D

Now I will try your recommandations for the next time :P

Just lost them again and none of the method are working :angry:

I have an old image backup. Is there a file or anything that I can restore for repairing my icons ?

I try tweakui and try to import the reg key to restore the .ico file Association to the original state in window xp but nothing is working :angry:

This happend again when I was trying to see the propertie of a file :(

All the .exe icons are gone :blink: Only these ones
