Hello,

Since yesterday, each time I launch Outlook express, I have a new "msimn task" in the task manager :(

Sometimes, I have up to 10 msimn working task

I have to end the process of each "msimn" manually :o

msimn is the proces name for outlook express- you should only have 1 of these unless your system has a problem. You may want to run a registry cleaner- if that fails you can uninstall OEfrom the Add / Remove windows components and then reinstall.

Thanks DoG ;)

I will check if I need to reinstall it :(

Nobody knows ?

I can have 5 and more msimn process running at the same time and if I don't stop them, I have some problems with IE :(

I'm running XP SP2 RTM

That shouldnt be possible Bad's. As far as i know Outlook express is only supposed to run as a single process.

Have you used any system tweakers like TweakXP or the like?

Can you run a search and see how many files named msimn.exe you have? you will need to enable the searching of system and hidden folders for a complete search.

You may want to try a system tweaker that will unload unused dll's when an application no longer needs them.

Have you tried an online virus scan?

Will do another search at the MS KB site and see what i can come up with.

EDIT: Stupid question- are you using Fast User Swtitching? and are other users signed on at the same time?
