I noticed that in this Build IE takes about a minute to load from a new instance!! Talk about slowing down your PC.

I have not noticed a problem here. :huh:

on the IE shortcut bar next to the start button click the IE icon and see what happens. What should happen is IE leaps up immediatelly. What happends now I have found is it sits for a while ..... thinking.... thinking... the ah... it pops up.

Still fast for me. How fast is your CPU? How much RAM do you have?

Spyware/malware maybe?

PIII 700 and the system is totally clear of malicious nasties. It worked before SP2.... now as I said above.

If you have Spy Sweeper installed, uninstall it and restart.

Problems have been noted about problem with it and IE.

interesting, KC..i have had that problem with IE for a few months now..never knew it may be spy sweeper..
thats ok though; spyware protection is worth the few xtra seconds...

I have spysweaper 3.0 insalled and no problems. But I dont keep it running all the time. ;)

Guess its the IE shield. Try disabling just it and see what happens.
